Education
  • Prior to entering college I was a substitute teacher for Hamilton County Schools for many years.
  • 2007 - 2009 Chattanooga State Technical Community College where I earned an associates of science in teaching (AST)   
  • 2009 - 2011 Teacher education program at Tennessee Technological University where I complete my Bachelors of science in education K-6.  At the end of my teacher education program I completed course work for licensure in middle grades education grades 4 - 8 and early childhood education Pre-k - grades 3. 
  • 2012 Obtained Tennessee teaching license - Pre-K through grade 8

Bio
  • Grew up in the Colorado
  • Moved to Tennessee in 1987.
  • My husband and I have been married for 20 years and have three beautiful children. 
  • Proud parents of a service dog (in training) who will be trained as a companion animal for a child with autism.
  • I became a teacher because I wanted to change the world, one child at a time, and believe there is no better place to make a difference than in a classroom. 
  • I am very excited to join the Hillcrest family and get to know all the wonderful children who spend so much of their day in the care of the faculty and staff at Hillcrest Elementary.
